Introduction:

Microsoft Copilot, initially exclusive to Windows 11, has now made its way to Windows 10. This AI-powered chatbot assists users in tackling complex queries and interacting with their computers. Though the functionality is akin to its Windows 11 counterpart, there are some notable distinctions. This article provides a comprehensive guide on how to enable Microsoft Copilot in Windows 10.

Enabling Copilot in Windows 10:

Step 1: Install or Upgrade to Windows KB5032278

On November 16, 2023, Microsoft introduced Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.3754 (KB5032278), which incorporates Microsoft Copilot. Follow these steps to ensure a seamless update:

1. Navigate to Settings > Update & Security.

2. On the Windows Update page, check for updates.

3. Download and install the 2023-11 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 22H2 (KB5032278) from the Optional quality update available list.

4. After installation, restart your PC.

Note: Ensure you are using the Home or Pro edition, and your PC has a minimum of 4GB of RAM and 720p resolution.

Step 2: Use ViVeTool to Enable Copilot in Windows 10

If Copilot does not appear after installing Windows 10 KB5032278, utilize ViVeTool to enable Microsoft Copilot:

1. Open Edge and upgrade it to the latest version (edge://settings/help).

2. Download the latest ViVeTool from GitHub.

3. Extract the archive to a folder on your PC.

4. Launch Command Prompt with admin rights and navigate to the folder with ViVeTool files (e.g., cd C:\Users\Vera\Desktop\ViVeTool).

5. Execute the command:

vivetool /enable /id:46686174,47530616,44755019` in the CMD window.

6. Restart your PC. Copilot should now be enabled in the Taskbar after logging in. If not, proceed to the next steps.

7. Open Registry Editor (regedit) and go to the path: `HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Copilot\BingChat`. Double-click on the `IsUserEligible` DWORD and set its value data to 1.

8. Or install this registry file

9. Restart the system, and right-click on the Taskbar to choose the "Show Copilot (preview) button" option.

By following these steps, you can successfully enable Microsoft Copilot on your Windows 10 system, enhancing your AI-powered interaction experience.
